iPreFlight Genesis™ represents a significant evolution from its predecessor, seamlessly merging essential functionalities like flight planning, performance limitations for takeoff/landing, and manufacturers’ weight and balance requirements with minimal user intervention. The flight planning component leverages manufacturers' operational insights, paired with real-time weather forecasts, to accurately compute the necessary fuel for the journey. This encompassing calculation considers fuel burn optimization, whether for efficiency or speed, as well as reserves for contingencies, alternates, and holding patterns.
Complementing detailed runway analysis (RWA), weight and balance (WB) assessments, and comprehensive flight planning capabilities, Genesis empowers users to compile a comprehensive trip dossier incorporating all pertinent textual and graphical weather data for the designated flight. The preparation may be initiated well in advance, with the flexibility to store the data on an iPad and automatically sync updates as forecast products evolve. In scenarios where internet connectivity is inaccessible, Genesis can craft flight plans using historical weather data, subsequently refreshing them once a connection is restored.
Prior to departure, users can effortlessly generate a flight release consolidating all pertinent information encompassing RWA, WB, flight planning details, and weather reports. This release is versatile and can be disseminated via email, retained on the iPad for offline access, or conveniently shared with fellow crew members on the flight deck.
